On a recent visit to Queensway Shopping Centre, I embarked on a little laksa adventure, sampling the offerings from two popular stalls situated near each other. This area is particularly favored by Singaporeans who prefer a closer alternative to Katong for their laksa fix. 328 Katong Laksa: • Menu Options: Compared to Janggut Laksa that is a few steps away, 328 Katong Laksa offers fewer menu options; for instance, they don't have curry cutlet rice. • Laksa: The laksa portion here is larger, and its flavor is quite balanced with a noticeable dried shrimp fragrance. This might appeal to those who prefer their laksa not too creamy. • Set Menus: For otah fans, there are set menus that include laksa, otah, and a drink, which is a convenient and satisfying option. Overall, I found 328 Katong Laksa to be a solid choice. While I have a preference for Janggut Laksa, I wouldn't mind returning to 328 Katong Laksa if the former is too crowded. Both stalls have their unique strengths, making them worth a visit for any laksa enthusiast. Happy slurping!
