I keep it short and brutally honest. Their Chef's special or what signature dish, which is chicken rice, cost SGD $10. 5% meat and 95% covered with oily crispy batter. I am a human, not a dog fed with rubbish. I did not enjoy it in anyway. PLEASE do not waste your money on this special, you are warn, go read other reviews too. If Cafe O business owner is reading this, want to refund me I will be happy to accept, although I already teared the receipt.

It’s an ok place (for a lack of words). Everything is pricy here but you get the comfort of aircon. Meesiam we ordered was ok. The noodles came out of a fridge and was reheated in microwave.

Nice place to have lunch with vintage style facade. Recommend the Nasi lemak, the rice is very lemak. Otah is a little spicy. Briyani is so-so.

I am thoroughly impressed by the food that is being served here. Simple fare but yet so authentic and flavorful. My 1st sampling was the nasi lemak. The nasi is so flavorful yet fluffy and you do not get "gelak" cos even though there is suntan used, the rice is just so light and fluffy. The accompanying side dishes are also commendable, especially the fried chicken wings. And please try the chilli for the nasi lemak. Shiok! Highly recommended! Then I decided to check out more of their offerings. Impressive nasi bryani set meal with wonderful fragrant basmati rice which is also light and fluffy, not forgetting to mention the huge fried chicken leg topping the rice. Highly recommended! Today, I had the laksa. I was not disappointed at all. Laksa gravy very lemak and sizeable serving of laksa bee hoon. Really yummy! Highly recommended. Tried the mee siam. Gravy is rather "thick" and intense in flavor but somehow not quite right by me (I m into gravy with abit of "taucheo") but most importantly, never garnish with "gu chai" (chinese chives). Definitely recommend the lontong. So lemak! I have to mention that they do not believe in "pre-making" the prata in batches and then reheating them. Every order is freshly made. Impressive!! Price might be a tad high but I think its value for money given the authentic nostalgic taste of the dishes and the good serving size. Highly recommended!!

I have been searching for good prata for a while, other than the more popular ones. I can confidently say I have found one. The prata is crispy and light, and the accompanying fish curry sauce is very good. Coupled with a cup of Halia “O” Gao, it’s so satisfying.
