Cantine by Kopitiam at Jurong Point

The fried carrot cake in the food court was not bad. Very good portioning. A bit sweet but I like the radish in big chunks. And actually there is no more fried carrot cake stall in the whole of JP so this is the only place to get my fried carrot cake craving fixed.

Today tried the western (beradik) stall, and ordered the aglio olio pasta. When I take the first bite all I taste is just oil and chilli with pasta (no seasoning) then I stir em but the taste still the same so I send the food back.

Very disappointing experience. The Mala Hot Pot here is way overpriced — they charged $1 for a single piece of tofu, which wasn’t even mentioned on the menu! I paid nearly $20 for a bowl that would normally cost less than $10 elsewhere. On top of that, the taste was bland and unpleasant, definitely not worth the price. Would not recommend at all.

Ordered Saba set. This is NOT saba fish. Price is high paid $8 for this yet they CHEATED and served cheaper whatever fish that smells bad. never buying food here again.

Vietnamese cuisine u really need to make alot of improvements. Waiting time, cleanliness of the stall and the taste of the food. I have to wait 10mins for beef pho and papaya salad. I came back but the papaya salad still not ready. The beef ball is smelly, the papaya salad is so bland. Not spicy at all. No taste. The soup for the beef noodle is also not nice. The table top where we take the food, was super dirty! And the tray was dirty too. I wiped the place with my wet tissue! I will never buy from this stall again. For western, beradik, fish n chip was ok, but the beef steak was too hard. My daughter asked for medium well but we got more than well done. Smell burnt.
