PastaMania – Italian Casual Dining @ West Mall at West Mall

Tried the newly revamped pasta mania at west mall. The renovation is good, the space is clean & bright, also no stale smell now. Previously I didn’t like to go there because there’s a strong stale cheese smell. But now there’s no smell. The seating is spacious indoor and outdoor. But outside you can smell the exhaust. Not so ideal. The pasta or flavors are local / Asian style not like authentic Italian so if you’re a stickler for traditional Italian food then this is not the place for you. If you want fast casual dining western style kinda Italian food, at a reasonable price, this is not bad. There’s no additional GST or service charge. Many selections of pastas, pizza and appetizers. You can easily get a good meal for less than $20/ person. I had the promotional set, it was good - Mentaiko cream scallop pasta, seafood tomato soup & Garlic bread with a drink. I felt the drink was a bit too sweet and soup & garlic bread was a bit on the salty side but it’s pretty good value at $19.90. Pasta was nice and creamy. I felt the flavor was just right. Service was prompt enough. Food was piping hot and the staff were friendly & polite. I don’t mind dining there again if I’d like a fix of western food next time I’m in the area.

Nice food and good vibes! Though the size of the 3 cheese sticks (already ate one before taking the photo) looks a little pitiful, would be better if there was more sticks or a bigger size. Was not too crowded when I went.

Great service by them eventhough it was on peak hours. Staff Rani was super nice and took a group photo for us too. The staff working today also friendly and said sorry when our pizza came late.
