It’s been a long time since I ate at Putien and I was craving for some specific dishes. Stir fried yam was still as good, one of their yummiest dishes. I liked the 100s yellow croaker too, just be careful of fine bones. However, dishes like white cabbage with beancurd (soup-based) and noodles (soup-based) were far from good, pales in comparison to my previous experience. I noticed there was some element of inaccurate marketing as well (the little pop-up for membership sign up included a free fruit sampling of some sort) but I checked with the staff and that’s non-existent. They have indeed waived off service charge but GST is still included, so the label that says “No service charge. No GST.” could be confusing. Good service though.

We had a good dinner today at Putien Jurong Point with friends from Malaysia, the food we ordered was thankfully tasty. The Stir-fried Yam was still good. The braised homemade bean curd went very well with rice. The deep-fried squirrel yellow croaker and sweet & sour pork with lychees was also good, not too sweet (was too sweet the last we tried). For new dishes, we tried the Crispy oyster which I think was ok only. The stir fry vegetables, which I forgot the name was good especially when hot. Overall a good meal, and their rice was very fragrant and best was still no service charge and GST for now.

The newly renovated Putien at Jurong Point is very cozy, and the atmosphere is great. Their food quality has always been high. I love the chili and cockles, roast chicken , The lor mee has always been good... worth the try! They also offer kids meal and baby chair!

Delicious food as always. Dine here with my younger sister. The fried oysters are a bit over fried though and very hard to bite into it. The rest of the food is good.
