Rude aunties — waiting area had no space and the sign was blocked by humans so we stood at the open area and watched the aunty make the tutu kueh, got told off for standing there..
+ the tutu kueh not even nice, usually it should be moist and fluffy, theirs is dry and powdery.
Desmond Abdullah
These tutus are hard to find today and of cos the vendors are aware of it that they keep jacking up the price so much that it now costs $1 each. I am okay if it’s delicious but the current quality doesn’t warrant it. It’s so much flour and so little filling. It’s dry and need to wash it down with water. Tbh, I’d rather buy tau sar pieh.
Colin Soh
I have never tasted such a unique tutu kueh before in my whole life. It was dry and chewy. It was not fully cooked and no moisture at all. Not to mention the staff was also unfriendly. Should have read the reviews first before trying it out. Waste of my $9.
Valerie Nair
The coconut filling for the kueh tutu is not fresh, not fragrant and dry. The muah chee is so little for $3, if u buy it downstairs, the whole plastic box is filled to the top. Both do not justify the price paid.
Diana Yusof
They’re more famous for their atrocious service. Auntie ignored me despite seeing me for a whole minute never mind. Accidentally said 茶鸡蛋 (tea egg) instead of 茶叶蛋 (tea leaf egg) since the spelling on their menu is different and the cashier auntie went on a scolding spree, scolding me thrice in 10 seconds that I confused her and she doesn’t understand what I want. Is it that tough to understand when you’re only selling one kind of egg.. 😔 Taste not bad. No egg skin on the outside so don’t need to peel. Quite fuss-free to eat. But that experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Despite the bad reviews, wanted to visit to visit since I grew up eating their tutu kueh and cup corn before they rebranded and became so commercialised with the merchandise. Will not come back again :/
