It has been years since I visited Red Ginger at IMM. I am glad that they survived the pandemic. This outlet is on level 1 at IMM. It serves reasonably good Nasi Padang. Customer service is average but hey this is not a Michelin style restaurant so I can cut them some slack. I had the rice with bagedil chicken wing cereal fish and fish cake with curry sauce. The quality is decent and the chili is good. I had the kopi and it is nothing spectacular. One setback is that it is rather pricey. And this may explains why there may be higher expectations on the food. It is good place for a meal at an reasonably pricey rates. Nevertheless go them a try for the food.

I was drawn to their variety dishes and how they made sure the food is kept hot with food warmers. The food is halal. The dishes I chose were tasty. There is additional charge of 40 cents for fish and prawn which I was not aware before payment. The drinks I feel is too expensive. Canned drink was $2.30 per can and no ice was provided. Personally I think below $1.80 is more reasonable. During peak hours, it may be difficult to find a seat as they are popular.

Red Ginger has been at IMM for many years. They serve Malay food at reasonable prices and consistent quality. The beef is cooked till tender. Spent abt $12 per pax for our lunch which included teh-o and kueh. Besides mee-siam and mee-robus they also serve Chinese style noodles like hor-fun. You have to queue to order and pay for your food.

The food here is really really delicious. My partner and I walked pass and I instantly smell the fragrance of curry within the vicinity.
We settled down and I went to order for both of us. As we saw there is a promotion on fish head curry. So we got tat set and some ala carte dishes along with it.
The dishes are great but the star is the fish head curry, very fragrant. It's taste very peranakan style, heavy on spices with hint of Assam flavors. Abit like indian curry but with less heaviness. Another great dish is the mee rubus, cook to perfection. Noodles nt too soggy and serves with very palatable gua. There is also a choice to add on satay and I must say the satay is worth to get. The teh tarik is also on of the best. Quite sweet so ppl who skip sweets might wanna reduce on the sugar.
Ambience of the place is like a small restaurant, although no service but for the price factor is worth the while. Any one who is nearby shld give it a try.
