Riverside Indonesian BBQ at Jurong Point

The food stall, while inviting, didn't quite live up to expectations, especially considering the higher prices. The grilled chicken, unfortunately, lacked seasoning and depth of flavor, coming across as quite bland. It seemed the sweetness was overdone, with the dish relying heavily on a sugary coating that overwhelmed the natural taste. While some might enjoy the sweetness, it didn’t quite compensate for the chicken’s dryness. Overall, it felt like the balance of flavors could use some refinement to match the stall's appealing presentation.

This is a late post. The grilled chicken tastes okay, but the fish was a tad dry.. I didn't like too much sauce, but I believe some people will appreciate it. The BBQ sauce is salty, which I didn't like. It all boils down to your preference while having this dish..

They are very stingy on the curry. When you ask for more they won't give it to you or pretend not to hear you. I never have enough.

Ate it a few times at this stall. However, recently I realised the portion of the chicken had became smaller in size. Looking at my order, the BBQ chicken given to me was much smaller as compared in the past. Besides lesser meat, the chicken was dried and a bit tough. Though the set included an egg, drumstick & veggies. The main highlight was still the drumstick! Other than that, their sambal chilli with ikan bilis is a must to have to go with meal.
