Authentic Taiwanese street-food stall famous for its XXL Crispy Chicken and crowd-pleasing night-market bites.
Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks brings the buzz of Taiwan's legendary night markets to Singapore, with a menu built around the kind of bold, indulgent street food that draws long queues back in Taipei. The star of the show is the XXL Crispy Chicken — a chicken cutlet pounded flat, marinated, coated in sweet-potato starch, and deep-fried until shatteringly crisp, then dusted with five-spice and chilli powder. It is roughly the size of a face, and every bite delivers a satisfying crunch followed by juicy, well-seasoned meat. Alongside the chicken, the stall offers oyster mee sua — thin vermicelli in a thick, savoury broth with oysters and shredded chicken — plus pepper chicken, mushroom cheese egg crepe, and crispy floss egg crepe. Each item is designed for grab-and-go eating, and the portions are generous for the price.
The brand operates in food courts and standalone kiosks across Singapore, making it an easy, accessible choice when the craving for Taiwanese flavours strikes. For anyone who has wandered through Shilin Night Market and dreamt of those flavours at home, this stall delivers a respectable, convenient approximation. It is unapologetically indulgent, proudly loud in flavour, and exactly the sort of snack you did not plan on but are glad you found.

LOUSY chilli crab chicken. Advertised as crispy but its so mushy. The chicken is soaked In sauce. The taste is liken to fried chicken soaked in soup for over an hour. I recommend separate the chilli sauce in a separate container. BTW, this picture is taken 10mins after purchase.. yet its so mushy already.
