Neighbourhood zi char stalwart at Fajar, serving comforting Chinese dishes for over 20 years.
Siang Garden at Fajar Shopping Centre is a longstanding zi char institution in the Bukit Panjang neighbourhood, having served comforting Chinese cuisine for over two decades. Known for its signature fried rice, succulent chicken dishes, and sizzling black pepper pork knuckles served on a hot plate, the restaurant delivers the kind of hearty, home-style cooking that keeps regulars returning week after week.
The warm, no-frills atmosphere and friendly service make it a natural gathering spot for families and friends. The extensive menu covers the full zi char spectrum — from claypot dishes and dim sum to noodles, soups, and seafood — with vegetarian options available for those seeking lighter fare.
Black bean sauce seafood hor fun and the hot plate offerings are consistent crowd-pleasers, and the pricing remains reasonable at roughly ten to thirty dollars per person. Siang Garden also offers catering for special occasions, making it a practical choice for celebrations close to home. For residents around Fajar and Bukit Panjang, Siang Garden is more than a restaurant — it is a neighbourhood kitchen that has been part of the community for years. Step in for a familiar meal, order generously, and savour the kind of cooking that feels like it was made with care.

There were a few orders in their hand, I bought fried rice to-go and went to get a seat first. the food was placed on collection counter without anyone shouting the order out. waited for a good 20mins while having a fever, for my food to be cooked. end up another staff came and shout the order for me to collect. The person who took my order down didn't even bother to tell me it's ready for collection even though I sat right infront of her.

Poor service attitude, waited for 1 hour for take away.
1) Request for extra chili, the server shake her head.
2) when approach the counter asking about our order, counter staff reply she don’t anything.
3) take away food was on the table but they refuse to pass it to us.

Food taste quite nice, especially their Hokkien mee. But ALL the staff is always showing bad attitude. Don't know why they are always so moody. If there is zero star for service, I will rate them zero for service.

Lousy zichar. Tried their signature curry fish head, is very very bad. One of the worst one I ever tried for these years. Dont bother wasting your money and time on this. Signature but with this standard. Slap their own face only.
